Brush Collection: It’s Ardmore’s Turn!

Brush collection was one of several city services suspended during Phase 1 of COVID-19 precautions. The service resumed June 1st.

The city has been broken down into quadrants with brush collection now in Quadrant 2 which includes Ardmore.

Since collections were delayed between March and June it is taking crews longer to complete their routes. According to the City web site collections in a quadrant can take 21 days or less.

If you are wishing to have brush collected please follow the city’s guidelines on what they can and cannot accept. From the city’s site:

Requirements & Placement

Brush must not exceed 6 inches in diameter and 6 feet in length. Brush should be big enough to be collected with a pitchfork. Brush must be placed neatly at the curb with all limbs facing the same direction in an accessible area.

Brush Not Collected by the City

Commercially cut brush; brush cut from vacant lots or from businesses or apartments; brush mixed with other materials such as garbage, junk or household trash; brush that does not meet the size requirements, i.e. stumps; brush placed in inaccessible areas, i.e. under wires, tree branches or blocked by vehicles.
