
Tropical Storm Bertha triggers Flash Flood Watch
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Forsyth and surrounding counties.
Tropical Storm Bertha formed off the coast of Charleston and is forecast to track northward and over the Triad. The storm us expected to bring 1 to 2 inches of rain as it passes over.
Winds are expected to be 20 to 30 miles per hour. With the ground already saturated from the rains from the last couple of weeks these winds may be strong enough to topple trees and cause power outages.
Please remember that if you encounter a flooded roadway DO NOT try and cross.
