Mask the City to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the area

On Monday Mayor Allen Joines announced a new program: Mask the City – a plan to provide 300,000 masks to city residents and 60,000 masks to low and no-income residents and others.

The mayor is asking residents to wear masks in public and continue social distancing for 40 days: from April 22 through May 31st.

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County has not seen the number of cases as other counties in the state recording 131 cases, 97 recovered, 29 still sick and 5 deaths as of Tuesday, April 21st. The state has passed the 7,000-mark for cases statewide.
