Street Closures near YMCA & Old Salem

According to Randy Britton, Senior Community Educator for the City of Winston-Salem, the following streets will be closed:

On Thursday April 16th a portion of Glade Street near the Central YMCA between Clover Street and West End Boulevard will be closed from 8AM to 5PM while crews bring in a crane to remove a tree that poses a danger.

On Monday, April 20 portions of Brookstown Avenue between Liberty Street and Main Street as well as a portion of Main Street near Old Salem will be closed to thru traffic while a contractor replaces some aging sewer lines in the area. The work is expected to be completed and the streets reopened by Friday April 24th, weather permitting.
